Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting Contract VMWare/Storage System Development Engineer opportunity located in Bellevue, WA.
Job Responsibilities:
- Working with modern endpoint management solutions.
- Patching Automation of Windows and Linux Systems.
- Developing 1st party or Deploying 3rd Party Software Patching Systems.
- Patching critical systems to maintain uptime and availability.
- Developing/Deploying/Managing Modern Endpoint Systems to deliver software to users like SSM/SCCM/Endpoint.
- Manage/JAMF.
- Deploying/Managing OS Imaging and Image Deployment Services in hybrid physical and cloud environments with tools.
- such as PXE boot, Golden Images, and WinPE.
- Deploy/Manage configuration policies.
- Design and build endpoint management solutions for application, configuration, and compliance.
- Support Windows and Linux Server/Client operating systems.
- Heavy focus on automation for management tasks and building self-healing services.
- Deploy Infra as Code with Chef, Puppet, Ansible, CDK, DSC via CI/CD.
- Develop/Manage shared computer kiosks, single user PC's, and multi-user workstations with both Windows and *nix OS.
- Build endpoint device and systems management solutions on AWS.
- Experience with VDI technologies utilizing both cloud and on-premise tools such as Citrix, VMWare, AWS, and Azure.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of Systems Development experience, including hands-on development work, client-server architecture.
- Proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming language such as Java, Python, or C++.
- Experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems or web services.
- Experience in managing large scale infrastructure and automation.

- Location: Bellevue, WA (Hybrid).
- Pay Rate Range: $70-100/hr
