Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract Database Engineer 3 with our client located in Sunnyvale, CA.
Job Description:
- We are seeking a highly skilled Database Reliability Engineer (DBRE) with a minimum of 8+ years of proven experience in complex PostgreSQL and MongoDB administration and multi-cloud architecture.
- While expertise in MongoDB is critical for this role, the focus will be architecting and managing our large-scale PostgreSQL environments.
- This pivotal position requires exceptional adaptability to quickly learn and master any new database technology or cloud platform.
- The role drives core technology strategy, leading all major migration and upgrade projects, and ensures the operational excellence, resilience, security, performance and cost efficiency of our multi-terabyte scale database environments on AWS and GCP.
- This position requires proven expertise in managing highly available systems, leveraging cloud databases AWS, GCP, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, and advanced DB Administration skills, including implementing compliance controls.
Job Qualifications:
- Min 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Min Bachelors
- DBRE (PostgreSQL & MongoDB)

- Pay Rate: $65 - $72 an hour.
- Location: Sunnyvale, CA (onsite)
