Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract Senior DevOps Engineer opportunity with our client located in Cedar Rapids, IA.
Job Description:
- You will be working closely with your team members to ensure that all software requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track.
- Responsibilities include working with Customers to understand requests/builds, ensure quality of software, and delivering said products on time.
- To be a successful candidate, you will need to have proven experience in software development, worked directly with a customer, have strong GIT/Gerrit experience, and strong experience merging C code.
- A Bachelor's degree is required, and experience in GNSS product development is desirable.
- You will be tasked with leading a R&D software delivery project to support the organization's strategic direction.
- You will be required to work with local and international groups to successfully release innovative products.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design and implement new methods of automated build creation and delivery
- Monitoring baseline health via integration testing.
- Follow-up and drive resolution of any test issues that are present in software baseline.
- Work directory with customers to understand requests and make informed decisions based on those requests
- Create SW deliverables made of multiple CLs from other developers
- Manage and own SW branches.
Job Qualifications:
- 10% Travel Required
- Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in engineering, business or related field.
- Familiarity with the continuous integration process and the use of GIT
- Ability to code Python, HTML, JavaScript and C
- A self-driven engineer with good task execution skills to deliver high quality output in timely manner.
- Master’s degree in software engineering or computer science
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team player as part of a local and globally distributed team
- Strong mathematical and analytical abilities
- Solid communication and documentation skills
- Good understanding of GNSS principles, from signal generation, transmission, reception, measurement construction and final position generation.

- Pay Rate: $75 - $85 an hour
- Location: Cedar Rapids, IA (Onsite)
