Position Description: Protingent has an exciting contract opportunity for an UI Engineer 3 with our client located in Redmond, WA. This is remote.
Job Responsibilities:
- Purpose of the Team: This Team is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented person to join our team. The individual will play a crucial role in enhancing the gaming experience for all users by addressing accessibility bugs in Gaming components. Additionally, the vendor will assist the team with the visual refresh and controller optimization of software bar.
- Key projects:
- Identify and resolve accessibility bugs in Gaming components.
- Collaborate with the team to implement visual updates and gamepad improvements for Game Bar.
- Ensure work aligns to project coding standards and participates in code reviews.
- Review specifications and create task breakdown, prioritizing deliverables and setting expectations on delivery timeline.
- Participates in daily team stand-up and weekly team build reviews
- Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The role will consist of 75% - heads down work 15% meetings 10% code review
- Must Have 5 years of professional software development experience.
- Must Have 5 years of professional experience with C++.
- Must Have 5 years of experience building UI with XAML
- Must Have Please submit a sample of previous work with resume submission
- 5-7 overall years of experience in the field.
- NO degree is required to be eligible for this role – it is really about experience with XAML, C++
- Experience in software development, particularly in XAML UX and accessibility.
- Has knowledge of industry accessibility standards and experience developing features that support high-contrast modes, multiple scale factors, and narrator.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
- Familiarity with Windows operating system and Xbox gaming components is a plus
Job Details:
- Job Type: Contract
- Location: Remote.
- Pay Range: $51/hr. to $65/hr.
- An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing a background check, and applicants who do not successfully pass a background check will not be considered for employment.
