Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting Technical Designer opportunity with our client in Merritt Island, FL.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design and create 3D models and drawings of equipment, facilities, and schematics.
- Design and maintain structural product definition by preparing design layouts and drawings, modifying existing designs and resolving design discrepancies
- Provide input on schedule and technical requirements to design teams and internal customers
- Apply relevant company and industry techniques of design, drafting, and part creation in order to plan, layout, and maintain data depicting engineering designs
Job Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience developing models and creating drawings
- Experience with Creo and Windchill
- Experience with mechanical and weldment design and component integration
- Ability to work on multiple projects in parallel
- Experience creating fabrication and installation drawings using Creo.
- Knowledge of components typically used in mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Experience with ASME Y14.100, Y14.5, Y14.41
- Familiar with existing applicable drafting standards
- Experience managing large CAD assemblies and associated drawings
- Experience with other CAD Packages such as, Catia, DELMIA, SolidWorks, etc.
- Experience detailing steel shop drawings
- Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance
- Contract Position
- Location: Merritt Island, FL
- Pay Range: $32-$37
- ITAR obligations are associated with this role, U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, or protected person status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a) (1), (3) is required.
