Job Description
Position Title: Sustaining Engineer - Electronics Manufacturing
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting direct opportunity for an Sustaining Engineer at our client in Redmond, WA.
Job Qualifications:
-
Electrical or Computer Engineer background with 3+ yrs. experience with some of the following:
-
Experience in Electronics manufacturing industry preferably Aeronautics or medical equipment.
-
Work with systems composed of highly integrated components such as FPGAs, microcontrollers and with BGA footprints.
-
Experience with high-speed circuitry – (up to 3 GHz range).
-
Proficient in surface mount soldering (QFN, 0402), PCB debugging using lab equipment
-
Quickly come up to speed on unfamiliar hardware (reading schematics, datasheets, using lab equipment).

Working with defective PCB assemblies quarantined from production line.
-
Troubleshooting PCB Boards with embedded processor systems/FPGAs.
-
Troubleshooting and root cause analysis to the component level.

PCB Board level repair / modification.
-
Support production test line (Windows based testing software / Custom built test-aids).

Experience in developing product test equipment (human centered or automated)

Above average personal skills for working directly with our manufacturer and customers.

Great computer, documentation, and organizational skills.

Self-directed project management required.
Job Requirements:

U.S. Citizenship (our government customers require this)

Up to 10% domestic and international travel with the ability to obtain a U.S. passport
- Fluent spoken and written English
Job Details:
- Direct Hire
- Salary Range $120,000 - 150,000 + Discretionary Bonus based on profitability
