Position Title: Supply Chain Planner 3

Position Description: Protingent has an exciting contract opportunity for a Supply Chain Planner 3 with our client located in Redmond, WA. This role is 100 percent Onsite 5 days.

Job Description:
  • The main function of a Supply Chain Planner is to coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments of an establishment according to production schedule. A typical Supply Chain Planner is responsible for reviewing and distributing production, work and shipment schedules and compiling reports on inventory levels, cost, etc.
  • Looking for individuals with supply chain expertise to join its dynamic infrastructure cloud capacity planning team.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Identify feasibility of a capacity plan and trigger execution with operations team – including elements like space, power, networking and SKU availability
  • Interface with supply chain, Data Center space management, hardware supply management, deployment PM’s, SKU team, networking to manage and reconcile all issues related to projects
  • Drive root cause and corrective actions to close out process, training or tools arising from the escalations
  • Generate and manage metrics and reporting related to planning accuracy and jitter, supply changes and supply-demand gaps
  • Load execution plan into operations system of record (MDM)
  • Generate and publish forecasts for downstream teams
  • Examine documents, materials and products, and monitor work processes in order to assess completeness, accuracy and conformation to standards and specifications.
  • Review documents such as production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine personnel and materials requirements, and material priorities.
  • Record production data, including volume produced, consumption of raw materials, and quality control measures.
  • Requisition and maintain inventories of materials and supplies necessary to meet production demands.
  • Revise production schedule, when required, due to design changes, labor or material shortages or other interruptions.
  • Distribute production schedules and work orders to departments.
  • Purpose of the Team: The team belongs to the Cloud Capacity Planning Team – managing the hardware capacity needs for engineer services.
  • Key projects: This role will contribute to planning the hardware needs for newly built data centers. Working across teams with suppliers who build the locations and the engineers who build the hardware. We get their needs, and we actually go plan the hardware in different data centers across the globe. We deal with the supply chain as in our supply chain partners who work with our suppliers who build these servers for us. And we also work upstream with our teams who actually go build the data centers which will host these servers in them.
  • Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The role will consist of 50% meets/collaboration 50% work on daily deliverables
  Job Qualifications:
  • Must Have 5 years’ experience with Power BI, SQL.
  • Must Have 5 years’ experience with Exceptional Excel skills managing large amounts of data/ building pivot tables.
  • Must Have 5 years’ experience with Understanding and application of key inventory management concepts (Supply Commit, Clear to Build, Open to Buy, WOS, turns).
  • 5-7 overall years of experience in the field.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • The ideal resume would contain supply chain experience. Understanding and skilled with process documentation.
  • Experience in supply chain planning or transaction management, preferably with cloud infrastructure or computer hardware
  • Pull data from SQL data sources
  • Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze costs related to manufacturing, labor and materials.
  • Ability to accurately document and record customer/client information.
  • Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to shipping and production.
  • Previous experience with computer applications, such as MS Word and Excel.

Job Details:
  • Job Type: Contract
  • Location: Redmond, WA (Onsite).
  • Pay Range: $43/hr. to $51/hr.
  • An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing a background check, and applicants who do not successfully pass a background check will not be considered for employment.
