Position Title: Sr. Repair Station Test Technician
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting Direct Hire opportunity for a Sr. Repair Station Test Technician with our client located in Kirkland, WA.
Job Description:
- The Sr. Repair Station Test Technician is responsible for in-depth troubleshooting, testing, modification, and overhaul of complex electronic systems and components.
- This role requires a strong understanding and application of electronics principles, electrical circuitry, engineering mathematics, and proficiency in utilizing electronic and electrical testing methodologies.
- At our Kirkland site, we specialize in the repair of power supplies and electronics systems for the demanding commercial, military, and business aerospace markets.
- The ideal candidate will possess the expertise to diagnose failures down to the discrete component level on Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) and have a solid foundation in reading and interpreting schematics.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive troubleshooting, testing, rework, and quality testing on parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies in accordance with Repair Station operations.
- Collaborate with engineers in the setup of test procedures and the investigation of technical issues.
- Assemble, test, and troubleshoot intricate electronic assemblies and/or complete systems.
- Proficiently utilize standard electronic test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, DMMs) to analyze performance and identify the need for adjustments.
- Set up and operate specialized test equipment as required for specific product testing.
- Employ sophisticated software programs to collect, evaluate, and interpret operating and test data.
- Execute rigorous testing and repairs, ensuring all work meets established quality standards and specifications.
- Investigate failures to the component level (resistors, capacitors, diodes, etc.) on Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs).
- Interpret and understand electronic schematics to facilitate effective troubleshooting and repair.
- May assist in the development and implementation of improved repair methods and procedures.
- May collaborate with engineers in the execution of experiments and investigations.
- Utilize the Intuitive ERP system for relevant data entry and tracking.
- Perform a significant amount of manual testing on high-powered electronic products.
Job Qualifications:
- Associate degree (AS) in Electronics Technology or a closely related field or equivalent electronics training and experience gained through military schooling and work history.
- Consideration may be given to candidates with extensive high-power electronics and/or high-power avionics technician experience in lieu of a formal degree, provided their total qualifying experience demonstrates the required years, duties, skills, and proficiency to meet the position level standards.
- 2-4 years of direct experience in production testing and troubleshooting of electronic systems.
- Trained to investigate electronic failures down to the discrete component level (resistor, capacitor, diode, etc.) on a circuit card assembly (CCA).
- MUST HAVE Basic ability to read and understand electronic schematics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Comprehensive electrical and electronic knowledge.
- In-depth understanding of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic test equipment (specifically oscilloscopes and DMMs), and computer hardware and software applications.
- Familiarity with ERP systems; experience with Intuitive is a plus.
- Strong data collection and analysis skills.

- Salary Range: $26.73-$32 per hour
- ITAR obligations are associated with this role, U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, or protected person status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a) (1), (3) is required.
