Position Title: Sr. Production Test Technician
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting Direct Hire opportunity for a Sr. Production Test Technician with our client located in Kirkland, WA.
Job Description:
- The Sr. Production Test Technician will utilize their intermediate mechanical and electrical knowledge to perform testing, troubleshooting, and rework on electronic assemblies and systems within our client's manufacturing operations.
- This role will involve progressively increasing responsibilities, with the technician seeking guidance from Technical Specialists as needed.
- A strong emphasis will be placed on continuous learning, developing proficiency with commonly used equipment, and maintaining high quality standards.
- The technician will operate by adhering to established procedures and standard operational guidelines.
- The ideal candidate will possess the ability to investigate failures down to the discrete component level on Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) and have the foundational skills to read and understand schematics.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform a range of functions within manufacturing operations, including collaborating with engineers on setup, troubleshooting, rework, and conducting quality testing on parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies.
- Assemble, test, and troubleshoot complex electronic assemblies and/or final systems.
- Utilize standard test equipment and analyze test results to evaluate performance and determine necessary adjustments.
- Set up and operate specialized test equipment according to established procedures.
- Employ sophisticated programs, including industrial control and data acquisition software (e.g., HiPot), to collect and evaluate operating and test data.
- May contribute to the development of improved methods and procedures for the manufacturing process.
- May collaborate with engineers in the execution of experiments and investigations.
- Investigate failures down to the discrete component level (resistors, capacitors, diodes, etc.) on Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs).
- Interpret and understand basic electronic schematics to aid in troubleshooting efforts.
- Adjust or replace defective or improperly functioning circuitry or electronic components using hand tools and soldering equipment.
Job Qualifications:
- Associate degree (AS) in Electronics Technology or a related field or equivalent electronics training and experience gained through military schooling and work history.
- Consideration may be given to candidates with significant high-power electronics and/or high-power avionics technician experience in lieu of a formal degree, provided their total qualifying experience demonstrates the required years, duties, skills, and proficiency to meet the position level standards.
- 2-4 years of direct experience in production testing and troubleshooting of electronic systems.
- Trained to investigate electronic failures down to the discrete component level (resistor, capacitor, diode, etc.) on a circuit card assembly (CCA).
- MUST HAVE Basic ability to read and understand electronic schematics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Intermediate electrical and electronic knowledge.
- Understanding of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic test equipment, and computer hardware and software applications.
- Familiarity with industrial control software and data acquisition software (e.g., HiPot).
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and soldering equipment for component-level adjustments and replacements.

- Salary Range: $26.73-$32 per hour
