Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract opportunity for a Software Test Engineer - Cloud with our client located in Redmond, WA.
Job Description:
- This role is working in a mid-size environment with many different technologies, that do software and hardware development.
- The candidate will get to add a lot of different learning opportunities to their resume if they wish to be more involved in the infrastructure team.
- There are many diverse software that the candidate will have the opportunity to learn and experience.
- They will also be working with a lot of senior employees at the company, and they won’t have to manage a queue, but can just focus on the work assigned to them.
- Work on reviewing new applications/software for data privacy and security
- Review software applications for developer workstations, review software applications for business iPhones, review firmware for industrial workstations.
- Reviewing software configuration for environment use (50%)
- Writing and updating scripts for an Azure Infrastructure as Code Environment (50%)
- Test firmware, cloud and locally hosted software, and mobile applications to verify and validate application behavior with defined specifications and requirements.
- Azure tenant administration with PowerShell.
- Develop scripts that manipulate key value pairs in JSON.
- Develop scripts that make GET or POST requests to APIs, modify the contents of the data retrieved and make PUT requests to update target objects.
Job Qualifications:
- Knowledge of QA methodology and testing approaches and techniques.
- Ability to reverse engineering data payloads at rest (file formats etc) and in flight (tcp/ip and other bus captures)
- Experience with sandbox technologies and hyper-v.
- Experience with Fiddler, wireshark and network monitoring tools.
- Experience with pcap and ncap.
- Ability to analyze packet captures.
- Experience with sysinternals tools.
- DNS knowledge.
- Experience with windows registry management.
- Familiarity with secrets management.
- Familiarity with PKI.
- Familiarity with Git, Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.
- 8-10 years of Software Eng. or Software Test Engineering experience
- No Degree or Certifications required
- 3 years experience Network Monitoring Tools Example: wireshark
- 3 years experience Windows Sys Internals Tools
- 5 years experience developing scripts that make GET or POST requests to APIs, modify the contents of the data retrieved and make PUT requests to update target objects. Example: powershell
- Excellent quality of work
- Someone that has administration in a development environment
- Worked in a small/mid size company and developed software (in home security system)
- Worked in a company for oil and gas or ships
Job Details:
• Contract
• Pay Range: $60-$69/hr.
