Job Description
Position Description: Protingent has a contract opportunity for a Software Integration Engineer with our client in Reston, VA.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with architects, customers, data owners and engineers to develop and evolve a platform to improve the speed of delivery of integrations.
- Design/Develop/Engineer scalable, observable, to deliver and sustainable integration pipelines with the goal of delivering value through data and system integrations.
- Dive deep into the data for source and target systems to understand how the integration will deliver business value, map the data, and develop the integration.
- Apply the latest research and industry trends to build best in class enterprise integrations.
- Build solution prototypes and conduct experiments to evaluate alternatives.
- Mentor and coach fellow and junior engineers
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 5+ years experience in design and development of cloud native solutions, micro-services, and backend systems
- 5+ years experience designing, building, deploying, operating, and scaling distributed systems
- 3+ years of hand on experience in Enterprise Integration platform services such as MuleSoft, Boomi, etc.
- 3+ years experience in designing/building event-driven and real-time integrations
- Experience with API Management (APIM) is a strong plus
- Knowledge of modern programming languages such as Java, Go or Rust
- Advanced level SQL and scripting (Python/Bash etc.) skills
- Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar analytical field.

- Reston, VA: $99-$110
- Huntsville, AL: $82-89
- Space Coast, FL: $91-$98
- ITAR obligations are associated with this role, U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, or protected person status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a) (1), (3) is required.
