Position Description: Protingent has an exciting contract opportunity for a Software Development Engineer 1 with our client located in Redmond, WA. This role is hybrid with 1-2 days onsite at Redmond, WA.
Job Description:
- The main function of a software engineer is to apply the principles of computer science and mathematical analysis to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of the software and systems that make computers work. A typical software engineer researches, designs, develops and tests operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for medical, industrial, military, communications, aerospace, business, scientific and general computing applications.

Job Responsibilities:
- Setup the team's Azure Dev Ops (ADO) code repo pipeline to automate the test tool releases.
- Write code to setup and automate the pipeline and code builds for release located in the GIT repo.
- Create user stories and participate in the team's sprint to layout the activities and strategies.
- Connect the release pipelines to dashboards and existing Azure resources.
- Purpose of the Team: The purpose of this team is manufacturing test content development. They are part of the manufacturing team and support the testing of servers before it goes to the data center. This team specifically develops codes/test tools that get deployed and used to test and screen servers at factories.
- Key projects: This role will contribute to setting up the Dev Ops pipeline for the code/tool releases.
- Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The role will consist of 10% meetings, 90% coding/development.
- Must Have 1+ years’ experience with ADO automation
- Must Have 1+ years’ experience with building CI/CD pipelines, specifically in ADO
- Must Have 1+ years’ experience with Azure services
- Must Have 1+ years’ experience with Rust programming language is a major plus
- 1+ overall years of experience in the field.
- Degrees or certifications required: none required. Any certificate in regard to Azure Services is a nice to have.
- Experience in ADO automation
- Experience with building CI/CD pipelines, specifically in ADO
- Experience in Rust is a plus
Job Details:
- Job Type: Contract
- Location: This role is hybrid with 1-2 days onsite at Redmond, WA.
- Pay Range: $47/hr. to $59.50/hr.
- An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing a background check, and applicants who do not successfully pass a background check will not be considered for employment.
