Job Description
Position Description: Protingent has an exciting contract opportunity for a Software Design Engineer 3 located in Redmond, WA.
Job Description: This team is working on developing next gen versions of Laptops and devices, with an opportunity to work with a high-fidelity team to learn and improve product makings, lots of scope for out-of-box thinking innovation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Debugging/troubleshooting and RCA of issues observed on latest set of HW + SW
- Collaborating with Internal/external partner teams to stabilize test environment in Lab on development SW/HW
- Identifying and adding test coverage to catch elusive bugs and usage scenarios
- Code integration and optimization while working closely with System engineers and architects.
Job Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in developing\debugging\designing software solutions, HW design, test coverage and execution
- Min 3-4 years of experience in SW design and development
- 2-3 years experience in HW design
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in SW engineering or HW design.
- 3+ years of professional experience designing and developing software solutions
- 5+ years of experience in developing software in C/C++
- Strong problem solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills
- Working experience with debugging hardware/firmware/software interaction during board bring-up and subsequent updates
- Able to effectively collaborate with internal and external partners
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in UEFI/BIOS, embedded firmware, or device drivers
- Experience in reviewing HW schematics
- Working knowledge of OS primitives: memory management, scheduling, interrupts, threading and ACPI is an added advantage
- Experience with test automation
- Experience with GIT, JTAG, JSON, Python
Job Details:
- Job Type - Contract hire
- Location:Â Redmond, WA
- Pay Range: $67-81/hr.
