Job Description
Position Title: Software Applications Developer
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting direct hire opportunity for a Software Applications Developer with our client in Kent, WA.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with management, department’s and customers to identify end-user requirements and specifications
- Producing efficient and elegant code based on requirements
- Developing, testing and deploying programs and applications
- Troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining and improving existing software
- Compiling and assessing user feedback to improve software performance
- Observing user feedback to recommend improvements to existing software products
- Developing technical documentation to guide future software development projects
- Ensure continued functionality of a program during maintenance and testing of software
- Document each aspect of a system or application as a reference for future upgrades and maintenance
- Revisit the development process to fix bugs or address client or consumer concerns
- The Software Applications Developer III will design and develop software applications for In-Flight-Entertainment/Information Systems and equipment.
Job Qualifications:
- B.S. Computer Sciences or EE
- 8 to 12+ years’ total professional work experience
- 5+ years experience designing and building network-based software applications
- Deep knowledge of one or more C#, C++ or Java
- Android platform development experience
- Knowledge of Networking protocols HTTP, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, UDP, L2, L3, switching and routing
- Network application development experience
- Real time embedded systems/software development experience
- Troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining and improving existing software
- Ability to handle a fast-paced multi-disciplined environment with quickly changing priorities and requirements
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with management or clients
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Must be a US Person (under ITAR rules) to be eligible.
