Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting long-term contract opportunity for an Senior or Staff Electrical Engineer with our client located in Kirkland, WA.
Job Description: The Sr./Staff Electrical Engineer will help our client grow as a world-recognized leader in aircraft electrical power generation systems for small to mid-sized business jets, UAV’s and rotorcraft.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ability to design analog and digital circuits for power electronics products
- Ability to use circuit simulation tools to inform a design approach
- Research and select circuit components based on performance, cost, and availability
- Skill to perform initial hardware functional testing
- Ability to create design process documents to support RTCA DO-254 compliance
- Ability to develop reliable products for an aircraft environment (temperature, EMI, ...)
- Work with technician staff to support hardware performance testing
- Ability to present technical presentations to internal and external groups
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering from an accredited institution is required
- Five (5) or more years of related experience in the job duties and responsibilities to be considered as a Senior Electrical Engineer
- Eight (8) or more years of related experience in the job duties and responsibilities to be considered as a Staff Electrical Engineer.
- Must Have Regulated experience. Highly preferred to have regulated experience in Aerospace or Defense.
- Must Have previous experience with designing both Analog and Digital circuits for power electronics products. Not accepting candidates with processors work or Digital experience only at this time.
- Must Have previous Circuit Board Design experience. - proof of actual development work, not production EE work only.
- Must Have previous experience selecting parts for circuit boards with outside vendors - research and select circuit components based on performance, cost, and availability
- Must Have EMI experience - unless from other regulated industry - case by case
- Must Have experience with power electronics and must be comfortable working with voltage up to 1000 volts
- Must Have experience w/ power converters
- Must Have previous experience with circuit simulation tools (any) to inform a design approach, such as LTspice, PSIM Ansys, MatLab
- Must Have previous experience performing initial hardware functional testing
- Job Type: Contract -to-hire
- Location: Kirkland, WA
- Pay Range: $50.00 - 88.00/hr.
