Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting direct hire opportunity for Senior Software Engineer, Autonomy – Perception with our client that is located in Menlo Park, CA.
Job Responsibilities:
- As a senior software engineer on the autonomy team, you will be responsible for key components of our perception subsystems.
- You will make meaningful, ground-level contributions that power the next generation of autonomous vehicles operating in complex indoor and outdoor environments.
- Prototype and deploy software solutions for autonomous vehicle perception systems including object detection and tracking.
- Develop tooling for continuous testing, performance validation, and system maintenance.
- Balance project tasks, code reviews, and research to meet product-driven milestones in a fast-paced startup environment.
Job Qualifications:
- BS/MS in computer science, robotics, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years experience writing C++ software in a production environment - unit testing, code review, algorithm performance trade-offs, etc.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with computer vision/deep learning.
- Experience with LiDAR and/or cameras.
- Exposure to modern software development version control and project management tools - Git, Jira, etc.
- Strong written & verbal communication skills.
Nice To have:
- Strong understanding of techniques in state estimation/sensor fusion and SLAM.
- Experience developing automated sensor calibration and sensor misalignment algorithms.
Job Details:
- Direct hire
- Salary Range: $170,000 - $230,000 (Depending on experience)
- Location: Menlo Park, CA (Onsite)
