Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting direct hire opportunity for an Sr. Quality Manager - Electronics at our client's Fort Walton Beach, FL location. This is a 100% Onsite role.
Job Responsibilities:
- This position provides quality leadership and has full responsibility for Quality at Fort Walton Beach Site regarding the Quality Management System (QMS), customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, for product life cycle from Product development, Production, Supply Chain to Product Support.
- The incumbent must be a proven effective quality leader with exceptional interpersonal skills, sense of urgency, demonstrated performance results and a continual improvement mindset.
- Directly lead and manage functional quality organization on a day-to-day basis at FWB to meet all Aerospace AS9100 QMS requirements
- Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) within Product Development / New Product Introduction Process by integrating organization, industry, and customer quality requirements into new design development projects using AS9145
- Effectively manages the supply base quality performance over the lifecycle (selection, qualification, management, monitoring and measurement. Ensure that the quality of purchased materials meets requirements and comply with applicable regulations.
- Establish a zero-defect culture by leading the deployment and continuous improvement of based on AS9145
- Ensure the effectiveness of measurement and monitoring systems to achieve improvement in Site business key metrics and quality processes key metrics.
- Develop and implement a quality organizational structure capable of supporting the strategic initiatives and lead the efforts to integrate quality into development of short and long terms business plans. Establish proactive business impact, planning, budgeting, resource allocation, leadership techniques, and coordination of people and resources for quality function.
- Lead effort to define and train employees on root-cause analysis and problem-solving tools to identify effective corrective actions/process improvements
- Establish collection and analysis systems of statistical data to predict trends that will affect improvement of product quality
- Analyze and resolve customer complaints and field reliability issues. Coordinate product and component failure analysis. Drive corrective action, and inspection of all program hardware to J-STD-001 and IPC610 and documentation and supplier quality improvements
Job Qualifications:
- 5+ years Quality Assurance experience in the defense, space electronics or high-end aerospace industry; additional Automotive experience is a plus.
- 5+ years in a management role, including experience managing Quality Engineers.
- Experience with advanced product quality planning in high reliability product development/ new product introduction
- Experience with DCMA, DLA
- Experience with electronics manufacturing methods including IPC-610 Class 3 and IPC J-STD-001, MIL-PRF-38534 Hybrid Electronics
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (EE -preferred, ME, MSc., Chem) from an accredited institution.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
- Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC)
- Experience with Minitab - statistical software package
- Strongly preferred experience with APQP tools – Process flow Diagram, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, Process Capability
- Preferred AS9100 Auditor experience, Six Sigma Black Belt, ASQ CQM, CQE
- Preferred experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Automotive experience is a plus
Job Details:
- Job Type: Direct Hire.

- Salary Range: $135K - $165K
