Position Title: Senior Quality Inspector (Mechanical Focus)

Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting Senior Quality Inspector  (Mechanical Focus) contract opportunity located with our client in Kirkland, WA.

Job Description:

• The Senior Quality Inspector is a highly proficient role responsible for advanced inspection, establishing complex methods, and mentoring junior inspectors to uphold the highest company quality assurance standards.

Job Responsibilities:

• This role is focused on determining and establishing complex inspection methods using advanced tools and machines.

• Providing training and coaching to base-level Inspectors on the interpretation and application of Industry workmanship and company procedures.

• Performing and approving internal First Article Inspections (FAI).

• Inspecting critical in-process and/or finished production assemblies and subassemblies for conformance to drawings and quality assurance standards.

• Reviewing, evaluating, and providing feedback on procedures and drawings to drive process improvements.

Job Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

• 5–7 years of direct experience demonstrating proficiency as a Quality Inspector, including advanced techniques and mentoring/training experience.

• Proficiency with MS Office products, including intermediate MS Excel skills.

• Preferred experience using and programming a comparator or vision system like a MicroVu.

• Preferred experience using a CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine).

• Skilled at reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, including GD&T preferred.

• Fixturing parts when using measurement equipment preferred
• Use of a height gage preferred
• Familiar with measuring sheet metal parts preferred

• Pay Rate Range: $26.50 – $29.50 per hour.

• ITAR obligations are associated with this role; U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, or protected person status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a) (1), (3) is required.
