Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting direct hire opportunity for Senior Imaging Systems Software Engineer with our client located in Santa Clara, CA.
Project Description:
- We are looking for an engineer with a strong background in ultrasound, signal processing, image optimization, and programming languages such as Python or C++ to shape our new ultrasound imaging platform.
- As a Senior Imaging Systems Software Engineer, you will work on characterization, optimization, and quantitative verification of imaging parameters and device characterization.
- The primary focus of this role is to improve the quality, accuracy, and interpretation of ultrasound images for the revolutionary ultrasound system.
Job Responsibilities:
- Optimize imaging pipeline settings to improve the image quality
- Optimize image reconstruction and image processing algorithms for the ultrasound probes
- Design and develop imaging processing tools in Python to assist in image optimization
- Automate image quality testing to improve regression testing
- Add features and software tools that help image quality optimization
- Collaborate with systems and hardware engineers to optimize the integration of ultrasound imaging systems, ensuring efficient data acquisition, processing, and display.
Job Qualifications:
- BS in an engineering or computer science field
- 5+ years industry experience in medical imaging product development
- Familiarity in ultrasound physics, signal and image processing, simulation, algorithm development, or tool development
- Proficiency in programming in Python or C++
- Passionate about medical devices, with excellent communication and teamwork skills
- MS or PhD in Electrical/Biomedical engineering with experience in ultrasound imaging
- Familiarity with common developer tool sets, including source control, continuous integration, and automated unit testing
- Experience in medical software development (FDA or MDR/MDD/IVDR/IVDD regulated)
Job Details:
- Direct Hire
- Salary Range: $150000 - $185000 per year
- Location: Santa Clara, CA (Onsite)
