Position Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting direct-hire Senior Electrical Engineer opportunity. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design, testing, and integration of all electronic systems for the accelerator.
• Contribute to schematic capture, PCB layout, and component selection for key subsystems.
• Participate in the assembly, testing, and troubleshooting hardware in lab and field environments.
• Support development and debugging of embedded firmware within our data acquisition systems.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for electronic and firmware systems.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to ensure electrical systems meet performance and reliability goals.
• Support integration of electrical systems with mechanical, fluids, and software components.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of industry experience (or equivalent academic/research experience).
• Familiarity with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, KiCad) and circuit simulation tools
• Experience working with embedded systems (e.g., RP2040, ARM, STM32, or similar).
• Knowledge of firmware is a bonus.
• Comfortable with lab tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters.
• Experience with high-voltage systems, analog/mixed-signal design, or RF.
• Knowledge of best practices for EMC/EMI is a bonus.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Job Details:
Job Type: Full-time, Direct-Hire
Pay: $120,000-200,000
Work Location: Onsite - Alameda, CA
