Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting direct-hire Senior Aerospace Test Engineer opportunity.
Job Responsibilities:
- The Senior Aerospace Test Engineer will lead advanced aerospace experimentation efforts.
- They will be responsible for the definition and oversight of ground and flight aerodynamics experimentation including subscale wind tunnel testing, high-enthalpy tunnel testing, full-scale vehicle wind tunnel testing, and captive-carry sounding rocket experimentation.
- Further, the engineer will aid in defining objectives, mission requirements, vehicle configurations, instrumentation, and data acquisition requirements for ground and flight testing.
- The successful candidate will aid in defining objectives, mission requirements, vehicle configurations, instrumentation, and data acquisition requirements for full-scale flight demonstrations.

Job Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant aerospace experimentation
- Direct experience in supersonic and hypersonic flight and ground experimentation
- Direct experience with relevant test facilities such as wind tunnels
- Direct experience with complex aerospace test campaigns including test definition, setup, and execution.
- Comprehensive expertise in aerospace test instrumentation and data acquisition
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Job Details:
- Job Type: Direct Hire
- Salary Rate Range: $153,000-$200,000.
- Location: Onsite - Washington, DC - Naval Research Laboratory (onsite)
- Required US Citizenship - May be required to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI active clearance.
