Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) opportunity located in Kirkland, WA.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using C#, Cypress, Selenium, and JavaScript.
- Author, execute, and analyse API and UI test scripts for complex applications.
- Integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA team members throughout the agile development lifecycle.
- Perform thorough data validation and verification using advanced SQL skills.
- Monitor test results, troubleshoot issues, and provide actionable feedback to engineering teams.
- Contribute to performance testing efforts and assist in identifying bottlenecks.
- Effectively manage priorities across multiple concurrent projects.
- Document test strategies, results, and best practices to support continuous improvement.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software test automation or software development roles.
- Expertise in C#, Cypress, Selenium, JavaScript, and SQL.
- Proven experience in REST, GraphQL API testing, as well as UI testing using Cypress, Selenium, and C#.
- Strong experience as an SDET with proficiency in data-driven testing.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies and practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases and data validation techniques.
- Ability to work onsite at least two days per week.
Preferred Job Skills:
- Experience with performance testing tools and methodologies.
- Exposure to cloud platforms and modern deployment strategies.
- Advanced certifications in software testing or cloud technologies.
- Experience with Dynatrace, Datadog, and Dotcom-Monitor for monitoring, logging, and error-handling investigations
Job Details:

- Pay Rate Range: $45-60/hr
- Must be US Citizen or GC Holder only
