Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract Risk Investigator II opportunity located in Redmond, WA.
Job Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end investigation of complex, sensitive product and fraud escalations, synthesizing customer reports, incident data, and expert guidance to determine root cause and appropriate action
- Apply sound, independent judgment to navigate ambiguous cases while maintaining consistency, accuracy, and audit-ready documentation
- Conduct deep dives to uncover contributing factors and early indicators of broader risk patterns, escalating trends to partner teams as appropriate
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Compliance, Operations, and Policy teams to validate findings and drive timely case resolution
- Engage with international teams to ensure alignment on cases that span regions or require localized interpretation
- Prioritize customer safety in all mitigation recommendations while balancing business considerations and policy requirements
- Identify opportunities to streamline investigation workflows and share learnings with peers to improve team consistency
- Serve as a subject matter resource during time-sensitive escalations, moving with both speed and accuracy
Job Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in Digital trust & safety, fraud investigations, risk management, compliance, or a related analytical field
- Demonstrated ability to make complex, independent decisions with minimal supervision and a high degree of accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document findings clearly for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize incomplete or ambiguous data across multiple sources
- Experience working cross-functionally with legal, policy, or operations stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree in an analytical field, or equivalent professional experience
Job Details:
- Job Type: Contract
- Location: Redmond, WA.
- Pay Rate Range: $30-40/hr.
- Due to government contract requirements, this position is restricted to U.S. Citizens only.
