Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract Quality Specialist opportunity with our client in Kent, WA.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide training and/or assistance to other team members in the use of quality acceptance processes, procedures, and/or tools.
- Serve as a 2nd set of eyes when performing inspections of internal flight hardware.
- Support the review and inspection of supplier related hardware as needed.
- Document First Article Inspection Reports for internally produced hardware.
- Monitor SPC activities as necessary.
- Conduct process health assessments and internal audits for compliance with industry standards and provide ongoing objective evaluations of processes and documentation.
- Conduct follow-up and compliance audits to ensure process improvement and corrective/preventive action implementation and effectiveness.
Job Qualifications:
- 2+ years’ of quality inspection experience in a rocket engine production environment.
- Relevant experience in a start-up environment, transitioning a product from development, through production to operations.
- Relevant experience in AS9145, Advanced Product Quality Planning and Production Part Approval Process.
- Quality Management System audit experience - Quality performance measurement analysis capabilities (SPC).
- Aerospace, space launch, military or commercial aviation preferred - Internal auditing experience - Knowledge of aerospace / aviation / engine manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of NDE and receiving inspection methodologies - Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9000 Quality Management System and/or related quality systems and programs.
Desired Job Qualifications:
- 3+ years’ of manufacturing and/or integration experience in an aviation/aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
