Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract Quality & Contin Improvement Specialist opportunity with our client in Merritt Island, FL.
Job Qualifications:
- 3+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing and/or integration environment
- Familiarity with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, pin gauges)
- Ability to conduct in-process and closeout inspections per engineering drawing requirements and work instructions criteria
- Ability to document inspection reports and audit manufacturing build records
- Ability to conduct Process improvements initiatives such as Kaizens, Gemba, and A3.
- Familiarity conducting Process surveillance audits and reporting
- Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9001 Quality Management System and/or related quality systems and programs
- Ability to support manufacturing schedules and overtime on as needed basis
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional team relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
Desired Qualifications:
- Aerospace, space launch, military, automotive or commercial aviation industry experience
- Related experience within a start-up environment, transitioning a product from development, through production to operations
- Proven experience in AS9145, Advance Product Quality Planning and Production Part Approval Proces
- Quality performance measurement analysis capabilities (SPC)
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
- Basic knowledge and familiarity on Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

- Pay Range: $44-48/hr
- ITAR obligations are associated with this role, U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, or protected person status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a) (1), (3) is required.
