Job Description
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract Quality & Contin Improvement Engineer opportunity with our client in Kent, WA.
Job Responsibilities:
- Establish, implement, maintain, and carry out quality system processes that support products in development and production environments
- Measure, analyze, and improve quality system performance consistent with organization quality goals
- Integrate quality system applications between engineering, manufacturing, and operations to ensure the consistent and ongoing use of quality best practices and communication of quality issues
- Review and approve manufacturing build documents including work orders and nonconformance records.
- Perform periodic audits of the application of our quality system in accordance with AS9100
- Participate in engineering design reviews and make recommendations to improve the quality and manufacturability of new designs
- Recommend initiatives and/or changes that will improve product and system quality
- Provide quality assurance domain expertise to inspection, manufacturing and test for the Additive Manufacturing team
- Collaborate with internal and external customers on quality related concerns
- Develop and present training materials to build quality awareness
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum of a B.S. in engineering/science or American Society of Quality, Certified Quality Engineer certification
- 4+ years’ proven experience in the engineering field with at least 3 years in a quality engineer role
- Quality Assurance experience in production environment. Aerospace, space launch, or military or commercial aviation preferred
- Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9000 Quality Management System and/or related quality systems and programs
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion
Preferred Qualifications:
- Engine Assembly QMS knowledge - AS9100
- Transitioning products from development to production
- Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul of aircraft or aircraft engines
Job Details:

- Locations: Kent, WA
- Pay Rate: $55-$65/hr
- ITAR obligations are associated with this role, U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, or protected person status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a) (1), (3) is required.

Initially, I focused on supporting our spaceflight clients, later expanding to industries such as sustainable energy and nuclear power. When I’m not recruiting, I love spending time outdoors – hiking, camping, roller skating, reading in parks, and swimming in Lake Union (when the Seattle weather permits). I also enjoy thrift shops, sewing/up-cycling clothes, and shooting 35mm film.
