Propulsion Technician I (A Shift)

Job Description
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract Propulsion Technician I opportunity with our client in Huntsville, AL.
Job Responsibilities:
- Reviewing, editing, and following test procedures and processes
- Operation of test facility and ground support equipment
- Working with engineers on design concepts and facility improvements
- Planning and executing assembly for complex mechanical systems
- Safely working with hazardous chemicals and high pressure systems
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvements to promote workplace safety
- Must be able to assemble, tool-up, and de-tool test components & test setups by using hand tools, torque wrenches, gauges, hydraulic lifts, and electronic meters
Job Qualifications:
- 2-5 years in assembly, test, automotive, rocket engine/jet engine testing, or rocket engine test facility support
- Ability to work with test and flight safety critical hardware
- Ability to work with standard mechanical tools and shop fabrication equipment (hand tools, torque wrenches, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics
- Must be able to read and interpret engineering instruction by use of computer applications (Jules)
- Ability to lift 40 lbs.
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions; climb stairs and ladders
Desired Job Qualifications:
- Prior experience in assembly and testing either in Automotive or Aerospace
- Contract Position
- Location: Huntsville, AL
- Pay Rate: $29.70/hr
- ITAR obligations are associated with this role, U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, or protected person status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a) (1), (3) is required.
