Position Title: Project Engineer II - LRU HW Development

Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting direct hire opportunity for a Project Engineer with focus on LRU Hardware development, with our client located in Kent, WA. 

Job Responsibilities:
  • The Project Engineer will drive the execution of new and existing IFE/CMS products to build market-driven solutions for our customers.
  • Will be responsible for driving and creating product required documents and will lead a cross-functional engineering development team to meet customer deliverables, costs and schedule goals.
  • Review, analyze, and interpret the technical requirements contained in requests for proposal (RFP) to generate material used in the preparation of formal customer proposals
  • Prepare the development of Statement of Work (SOW) and Work Packages for subcontracts
  • Develop multiple LRU product requirements specs and work with functional subject matter experts (electrical, mechanical and software) to define architectures for new and updated designs
  • Prepare project cost estimates; milestone deliverables and provide engineering input to program financial performance
  • Manage emerging technical risks to the project and proactively communicate solutions for mitigation
  • Report the status of assigned projects and budget spending for Leadership review
  • Coordinate with manufacturing, test engineering, and configuration management to successfully transition product designs from concept to Black Label

Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other related engineering degrees, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years design experience, planning and leading of technical projects that include engineering development teams - specifically Hardware development.
  • Ideally recent experience related to new hardware development (and not too geared to SW features.)
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite required.
  • Proficient in new product development processes and exposure to product lifecycle management.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical and software design of embedded airborne products
  • Skilled in breaking down problems, documentation problem statements, and estimating efforts
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work successfully with stakeholders at all levels
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable interfacing at all organizational levels, especially with customers
  • Must be a US Person (under ITAR rules) to be eligible.
  • An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing a drug test and background check, and applicants who do not successfully pass both the drug test and background check will not be considered for employment.
  • Salary Range: $86-130K depending on experience.
