Position Title: Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting Direct Hire opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer with our client that is in Plainview, NY.

Job Description:

• The Senior Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and reviewing the procedures and equipment involved in the manufacturing process.
• Their duties include researching automation techniques, testing new systems for efficiency and planning factory layouts to optimize production.
• Lead or assist in the cost estimating process.

Job Responsibilities:

• 10 years of work experience as a manufacturing engineer or similar role needed
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods and tool design
• Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and quality assurance techniques
• Commitment to health and safety standards and environmental regulations
• Well-versed in relevant software (e.g. CAD, MS Office)
• Project management skills
• Problem-solving ability
• Teamwork skills
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field(CNC Machining)
• Green belt certificate a plus
• Working knowledge with continuous improvement process.

Job Qualifications:

• Evaluate manufacturing processes based on quality criteria, such as efficiency and speed.
• Provide cost estimations for new and existing projects.
• Create, test, and implement manufacturing process.
• Study production and machine requirements
• Develop and test effective automated and manual systems.
• Design and install equipment.
• Implement manufacturing processes that result in high-quality products.
• Organize and manage manufacturing workflows and resources.
• Optimize facility layouts, production lines, machine operations and network performance.
• Resolve issues and delays in production.
• Find ways to reduce costs and maximize quality.
• Train staff in new and existing processes
• Development and mentor of Junior engineers
• Collaborate with other engineers, contractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure that manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental regulations.
• Upgrade systems and processes with new technology.

Job Details:

• Job Type: Direct Hire
• Salary Rate Range: $110-130K.
• Location: Plainview, New York.
