Position Title:  Optical Engineer

Position Description:  Protingent Staffing has an exciting direct hire opportunity with our client in Pleasanton, California.

Job Requirements:
  • Model and develop innovative and cost-effective optical designs for next generation products
  • Drive mastering, tooling and manufacturing of optical films
  • Analysis and characterization of optical film performance
  • Work with partners and supply chain to provide solutions to manufacturing and tooling issues during technology transfer and volume ramp-up
  • Collaborate with partners to enable new break-through capabilities
  • Strong team player, able to deliver timely results in a highly collaborative team environment
  • Able to innovate and work independently in dynamic early stage startup environment
  • Positive attitude, passionate about making a difference

Job Qualifications:
  • At least 3-5 years of experienced in optical engineering desired
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Prior start-up experience helpful and demonstrated success in related areas
  • Bachelor’ s Degree or higher in Optics, Physics, or related field
