Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract to hire Network Engineer Supervisor opportunity.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide supervision and work direction to Network Engineer(s) within the department and other employees as assigned; supervise and evaluate assigned staff in accordance with the Company’s policies and applicable laws; responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training employees; and planning, assigning, and directing work.
- Supervise Network Engineer staff with establishing overall project technical objectives and deliverables; reviews complex projects with staff for coordination of resources; ensures staff are keeping the Project Management Office (PMO) informed of project progress, potentially controversial matters, or far-reaching implications.
- Evaluate current network systems, including IaaS, to identify improvements needed. Research technology available using current knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
- Analyze IaaS solution(s), costs and benefits, including immediate and long-range effects, security needs, and potential threats. Provide recommendations and justification as requested.
- Review, troubleshoot, and resolve highly complex network/technical problems. Coordinate solutions through internal resources or communication with vendors and/or technical support staff. Monitor resolutions and timelines and communicate with appropriate personnel.
- Promote cross-training and knowledge transfer between Infrastructure and Security Operations staff, including specific training related to the effective utilization and management of the IaaS platform. Coordinate and/or provide training to users, IT staff, and other department personnel in the use of computer, network, telecommunication systems and equipment.
Job Qualifications:
- Local Area Network (LAN) and Metropolitan Area Network (MAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), Software Defined-WAN (SD-WAN) systems in a multi-site enterprise setting, voice, video, and data networks, network protocols, implementation and related networking concepts, and technical aspects of networking.
- Current and relevant Microsoft Azure experience involving design, deployment, configuration, security and optimization.
- Principles and techniques of analysis, design, and implementation of complex network and communications infrastructure.
- Eight (8) years of increasingly responsible experience in network administration, configuration, and end user support, with at least 2 years of supervisory/lead experience.

- Pay Range$56-$67/hr
