Job Description
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract Mechanical Analysis and Methods Engineer opportunity.
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze reactor core and core assembly behavior using finite element methods and document results in calculation reports
- Perform analysis for benchmarking test data and validating analysis methods
- Support methods development work with uncertainty quantification
- Contribute to software quality assurance of in-house and commercially developed software
Job Qualifications:
- B.S. or Masters in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent
- 0-3 years professional mechanical analysis experience using hand calculations and finite element methods
- Strong understanding of solid mechanics and finite element methods
- Strong coding skills, with a preference for object-oriented programming using Python
- Strong communication skills desired
- The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly and display respect, and a desire to foster teamwork
- Actual position starting level and title will be determined based on assessment of qualifications.
Job Details:
- Job Type: Contract
- Pay Rate Range: $53-$70/hr.
- Location: Everett, WA.
- Export control regulations require candidates to be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Legal Permanent Resident, or of a protected person status
