Job Description
Position Title: Junior Contracts Manager
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract opportunity for a Junior Contracts Manager with our client located in Mountain View, CA
Job Requirements:
- Serve as initial point of contact and escalation point for existing and new customer contracts, and foster customer relations through the life cycle of each contract.
- Lead and/or attend regular contractual meetings with all relevant stakeholders to ensure contract terms and conditions are consistent with internal goals and objectives.
- Partner with the CEO, VP’s, Advisors, and high-level management to not only identify new business opportunities, but to play a key role in writing, editing, presenting, and submitting technical proposals and cost proposals.
- You’ll be an instrumental member of the Operations Team and will be partnering with HR, Finance and Accounting, Facilities, and Legal teams on all matter of operational, legal, contractual, and financial matters. We want someone who embraces the challenges of supporting a growing team.
- Draft, review, and revise contracts with clients and vendors while ensuring our internal contract documents are accurate, compliant, and well maintained.
- Provide insight into (and actions based upon) the financials, including regular but unobtrusive reporting and reviews.
Job Requirements:
- At minimum, a BA/BS in Business Administration, Law, or other Social Science. A Master’s degree is preferred but not required.
- 3+ years of experience in contract management and contract negotiation, or legal-related experience. You’re already comfortable in drafting and negotiating a wide range of large-dollar, complex, contracts including services, consulting, marketing, licensing, non-disclosure, data privacy, and other commercial and technology related agreements.
- Working knowledge of contracts, with a focus in Government proposals/contracts preferred. Experience with Business Capture processes is preferred.
- Regularly conduct risk analysis reviews for all contractual documents and have recommended mitigating options. Take pride in understanding the company and products in order to identify risks, develop solutions, mitigation and negotiation strategies.
- Excellent verbal and written skills, and the ability to convey complex information in a way that others can interpret and provide meaningful feedback.
- Ability to work effectively under time/workload pressure.
- Ability to systematically analyze complex problems, draw relevant conclusions and take appropriate action, we’re seeking systems level thinkers and doers!
- Excellent negotiating and persuasive skills, both in face to face and remote settings. We want our Contract Manager to have outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to interface effectively with all business functions throughout the organization.
- We’re seeking enthusiastic and "self-starter" qualities that would enable our Contracts Manager to manage responsibilities with an appropriate sense of urgency; the ability to function effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced & dynamic environment.
- Legal or Paralegal experience preferred.
- Bonus if you have previous experience working in a startup!
- Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder, position will require the ability to apply for Government clearance (past or current active clearance is a bonus)
