Integration Technician - Engines II (B Shift)

Job Description
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting Integration Technician opportunity with our client in Huntsville, AL.
Job Responsibilities:
-
- Precision assembly of rocket engine components: combustion devices, valves, turbomachinery, avionics, test
- Root cause and diagnostic component disassembly, repair, and work
- Nitrogen and Helium leak testing
- Preparation for environmental testing
- Hydro proof structural testing of components
- Creating and maintaining strict cleanliness requirements (liquid/gaseous oxygen compatibility)
- Support the design, procurement, installation, and integration of custom manufacturing and test equipment
- Help maintain inventory of tooling and equipment
- Safely work with hazardous systems, chemicals, and high-pressure operations
- Define how to prepare hardware for test, qualification, and flight
- Identify, develop, and deploy new manufacturing methods (or refine existing) to improve quality, reduce cost, and optimize build schedule
- Support the development of manufacturing work instructions to clearly define the following manufacturing processes: receiving inspection, fabrication, assembly, test, and integration, and refurbishment
- Identify non-conformances and escapes, support and deploy corrective actions
Job Qualifications:

- 2 to 4 years of manufacturing or engine assembly experience
- Mastery of precision and tight tolerance assembly
- Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings
- Extensive experience reading and understanding specifications and detailed work instructions
- Proven experience and successful track record in developing new processes
- Strong written, personal, technical, and software skills (CAD, Scheduling, Issue Tracking, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc)
- Ability to communicate clearly and appropriately at all levels of the organization
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion
- Physical Requirements:
- Climb ladders and stairs
- Lift and carry 50 lbs. for limited durations
- Work schedule may vary depending on business need
- Remain flexible by working overtime and weekends (when necessary)

- Pay Range: Varies on shift
- ITAR obligations are associated with this role, U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, or protected person status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a) (1), (3) is required.

I joined Protingent in the Spring of 2021 as a sales intern, transitioning to a full-time Technical Recruiter after graduating from the University of Washington in June 2021. Initially, I focused on supporting our spaceflight clients, later expanding to industries such as sustainable energy and nuclear power. When I’m not recruiting, I love spending time outdoors – hiking, camping, roller skating, reading in parks, and swimming in Lake Union (when the Seattle weather permits). I also enjoy thrift shops, sewing/up-cycling clothes, and shooting 35mm film.
