Industrial Hygienist

Job Description
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting Industrial Hygienist Instructor contract opportunity.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop exposure assessments to mitigate workplace hazards for new and existing projects.
- Provide review of documents, risk assessments and work plans.
- Sample chemical and physical hazards.
- Assist with the management and movement of hazardous waste.
- Approve incoming hazardous chemicals.
- Ensure operation and maintenance of testing instruments.
- Conduct respirator fit testing.
- Deliver safety training.
- Oversite support for chemical and hazardous waste cleanup response.
- Conduct safety walkthroughs and audits
- B.S. in Industrial Hygiene, Environment Health and Safety, or related field and minimum 5 years relevant experience working in an industrial hygiene discipline
- Advanced understanding of 29 CFR 1910 &1926. (10CFR & 40CFR is a plus)
- Understanding of occupational exposure limits (ACGIH TLV, OSHA PEL).
- Familiar with common IH calculations is required.
- Ability to wear all levels of PPE.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and verbal skills desired
- The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly and display respect, and a desire to foster teamwork
- Actual position starting level and title will be determined based on assessment of qualifications.
- Contract
- Pay Rate Range: $50-65/h DOE
- ITAR obligations are associated with this role, U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, or protected person status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a) (1), (3) is required.
