Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting direct hire opportunity for a Human Resources Assistant with our client located in Renton, WA.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date human resource files, data, records, and documentation in accordance with company policy and employment laws.
- Answering frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
- Maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Providing administrative and clerical support to the HR department.
- May assist with payroll functions including timekeeping, answering employee questions, and fixing processing errors.
- Acting as a liaison between Senior HR management, Accounting, first level Managers and Employees.
- Supporting the recruitment/hiring process by sourcing candidates, performing background checks, phone screens, providing and following up on feedback, assisting in shortlisting, etc.
- Assisting in ad-hoc HR projects, like collection of employee feedback or surveys
- Scheduling meetings, interviews, HR events etc. and maintain the team’s agenda
- Coordinating and document training sessions and seminars
- Conducting or assists with onboarding, new hire orientation, benefit enrollment or changes and changes throughout employment life cycle.
- Assisting with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, company meetings and holiday parties.
- Assisting with safety documentation and coordination.
- Other duties as assigned and directed by Senior HR/Executive Leadership.
Job Qualifications:
- Outstanding verbal and written communication.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Excellent organizational skills, time management and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
- In-depth understanding of sourcing tools, like resume databases and online communities
- Familiarity with social media recruiting preferred
- BSc/BA in Business Administration required; additional education in Human Resource Management will be a plus. Relevant education and experience will be considered.
- 1-2 years of prior multifunctional HR related office experience required.

- Hourly Pay Range: $20-$26
