Position Description: Protingent has an exciting contract opportunity for a Hardware Lab Technician 4 with our client located in Redmond, WA. This is 100% Onsite job.
Job Responsibilities:
- This role is a lead electrical engineering/ signal integrity lab engineer role.
- This individual will plan, schedule and execute signal integrity and electrical test measurements on printed circuit boards during the development phase. Measurements include VNA, oscilloscope and power measurements.
- Execute Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) measurements on test boards and engineering validation boards for the validation of interconnect performance.
- Assemble systems or test fixtures as needed to prepare for measurements.
- Add instrumentation to devices/boards under test to enable high precision measurements.
- Some soldering may be necessary to prepare boards for measurement.
Job Qualifications:
- Must Have 8-10 years’ experience with VNA Measurement experience
- Must Have 8-10 years’ experience with Hardware/Data Center Experience
- Must Have 8-10 years’ experience with Ability to assemble hardware and solder hardware.
- 8 - 10 overall years of experience in the field.
- Expertise in Oscilloscope measurements.
- Expertise in VNA measurements.
- Expertise in datacenter computer hardware knowledge - ie know the components and function of components and sub-assemblies in a server.
- Ability to review schematics and board layout to facilitate measurements.
- Ability to review and evaluate s-parameter data in tools such as PLTS or IdEM
- The ideal resume would contain Execute Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) measurements on test boards and engineering validation boards for the validation of interconnect performance experience then they would be the preferred candidate. Either at Microsoft or a similar company to Microsoft, and Data center/Hardware Experience.
- No degree is required to be eligible for this role. Most of the skills are acquired through the job training.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
- Experience with Signal Integrity simulation using tools such as HSpice, ADS, etc.
- Data analysis using tools such as JMP, Matlab or Excel.
- Experience with 3D structure modeling using tools such as Ansys HFSS.
- Candidate having a technical degree in electronics would be a plus but not a requirement.
Job Details:
- Job Type: Contract
- Location: Redmond, Washington (Onsite).
- Pay Range: $63.50/hr. to $83/hr.
- An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing a background check, and applicants who do not successfully pass a background check will not be considered for employment.
