Position Description: Protingent has an exciting contract opportunity for a Hardware Design Engineer 3 with our client located in Mountain View, CA. This is an onsite role 5 days a week.
Job Description:
- What makes this role interesting? - This role provides the opportunity to work in hands on silicon chip validation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work on key components of functional validation of complex ASIC SOC and FPGA SOC
- Perform Post-Silicon/FPGA validation by defining testing strategies
- Develop Test plan, C tests and infrastructure to complete functional validation of complex design and report bug/issues
- Running tests, debugging failures, creating stress and performance scenarios to meet test plan goals
- Develop tools for hardware testing, data collection, work with third party equipment and boards.
- Innovate to improve validation efficiency through methodologies and tools
- Purpose of the Team: The purpose of this team is Silicon Semi-conductor AI Project.
- Key projects: We are looking for Validation Engineer to work in the dynamic Artificial Intelligence (AI) Silicon Engineering team. The candidate must be a highly motivated self-starter who will thrive in this cutting-edge technical environment. Candidate will be responsible for Post Silicon Validation, debug, tools development as well as Systems Level Testing. It involves driving system team enablement and product deployment in data center at scale.
- Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The role will consist of 80% hands on lab work, 10% meetings, 10% collab.
Job Qualifications:
- Must Have 4 years’ Experience in testing tooling development, usage, and testing
- Must Have 4 years’ experience using coding language like C/Python
- Must Have 4 years’ experience with working collaboratively in a lab setting with a team
- 4+ overall years of experience in the field.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering required. 4+ years’ experience required.
- Experience with domain, experience with programming language, and experience in a lab.
- Hands on experience with C/C++, Python, Perl, Powershell
- Familiarity with boards, components, memories, industry standard interfaces like I2C, JTAG, UART.
- Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Team player and detail oriented.
- Basic knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
Job Details:
- Job Type: Contract
- Location: Onsite, Mountain View, CA. This is an onsite role 5 days a week.
- Pay Range: $72/hr. to $97/hr.
- An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing a background check, and applicants who do not successfully pass a background check will not be considered for employment.
