Job Description
Position Title: Hardware Architect
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting direct hire Hardware Architect opportunity with our client located in the Bay Area, Ca.
Job Responsiblities:
- Looking for an experienced electrical engineer with a background in hardware systems design and implementation.
- The role will require leadership in the design and development of highly innovative medical ultrasound hardware, including design of system architecture.
- Additional responsibilities include the development of analog and digital circuit requirements, component modeling and simulations, and schematic and PCB design.
- Consideration of signal integrity, proper component placement, grounding schemes, and standard routing techniques will be required for PCB Layout.
- The electrical engineer will also plan, test, and evaluate implemented designs, providing feedback and recommendations where necessary for design iterations.
- Additional job responsibilities include developing documentation in accordance with good documentation practices, including system descriptions, test procedures, reports, maintenance and trouble-shooting manuals, and ensuring compliance with applicable internal and external standards/regulatory requirements.
Job Qualifications:
- BS or higher in Electrical Engineering
- 10+ years of experience in hardware architecture and system design, preferably in ultrasound
- 10+ years of experience in analog and digital schematic design and PCB layout and testing of mixed signal electronics
- Strong comprehension of electrical engineering principles with regards to electronics.
- Demonstrated experience with technical writing required
- Experience in a regulated industry (such as medical device) highly preferred
- Job Type: Direct Hire
- Salary Range: $160,000 to $190,000 per year
