Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting direct hire opportunity for a Golang Backend Engineer with our client.
Job Description:
- We're seeking an experienced Senior Backend Golang Engineer to join our remote team and build backend API services for GPU cloud platform.
- The ideal candidate will architect and implement robust backend services, design databases, and collaborate across teams to deliver high-quality products.
Job Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement backend API services for front-end applications, Kubernetes pod management, and billing systems.
- Design and optimize databases, including time series databases.
- Develop and maintain web services using Go.
- Translate product requirements into efficient, scalable implementations.
- Collaborate with front-end, DevOps, and product teams.
Job Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in Go, including Go Routines and Channel patterns.
- Experience with Go ecosystem (e.g., Gin/Chi, gRPC, GORM, sarama).
- Deep understanding of microservices and API design patterns.
- Familiarity with Kafka and time series databases (timescaleDB).
- Experience with Kubernetes Go client (client-go).
- Proficiency with GitHub for version control.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Able to attend online meetings in PST timezone.
- Experience working with payment systems such as stripe is a plus.
