Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract opportunity for Failure Analysis Engineer 2 with our client located in Sunnyvale, CA.
Job Description:
- Evaluates the electrical and mechanical characteristics of systems and/or integrated circuits, components, sub-components and systems to determine the cause of failure, including the verification of analog and digital performance.
- Analyzes failure reports and recommends corrective action.
- Develops methods, processes, procedures and equipment that will improve the failure analysis process and/or reduce failures.
Job Responsibilities:
- Process Optimization: Identify and implement strategies to expedite QNs and ECOs, reducing processing time and improving overall efficiency.
- Collaborative Problem Solving: Work closely with engineers and engineering technicians to analyze and resolve bottlenecks in the documentation process, leveraging technical insights and hands-on collaboration.
- Trending: Cross-reference QNs data across various criteria and examine to find trends and commonality of corrective and preventative action.
- System Management: Utilize and manage relevant systems to track, process, and report on QNs and ECOs, ensuring accurate and timely updates.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Facilitate communication and collaboration between different departments to ensure all necessary information and documentation are complete and accurate for efficient process flow.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively suggest and drive improvements to existing processes, implementing best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of process changes and provide regular updates to management on the status and outcomes of efficiency initiatives.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Prior experience with SAP ERP and Agile PLM. Prior experience in process engineering, quality assurance, or a related role. Experience with quality documentation and systems management is a plus.
- Ability to drive change, inspire action, through effective communication and action.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with engineers and technicians.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Data trending and reporting experience.
- Proficient in using systems and software related to process and documentation management.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
Job Details:
- Job Type: Contract
- Pay Rate: $40-$45/hr.
- Location: 100% onsite at the Sunnyvale, CA office.
