Job Title: Embedded Hardware Engineer - FPGA
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract to hire Embedded Hardware Engineer - FPGA opportunity available with our client located in Kirkland, WA.
Job Qualifications:
- At least 10 years of HW Engineering experience in addition to performing several of the preferred qualifications below.
- B.S. Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Up to 5% domestic and international travel with the ability to obtain a U.S. passport.
- Fluent spoken and written English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Electrical hardware background with experience with several of the following:
- Experience in Electronics industry preferably Aeronautics or medical equipment.
- Design experience of systems composed of highly integrated components such as FPGAs, microcontrollers and with BGA footprints.
- Experience with high-speed circuitry – (up to 10 GHz range).
- Proficient in soldering as required for prototype bring-up and testing.
- Experience with PCB layout best practices and tools - Altium preferred.
- Bring-up and troubleshooting PCB Boards with embedded processor systems/FPGAs.
- Support product verification and qualification testing (DO-160) and troubleshooting.
- Troubleshooting and root cause analysis to the component level.
- Above average personal skills for working with team members of different disciplines - software, FPGA, mechanical, etc.
- Great computer, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Self-directed.
Job Details:
- Job Type- Contract to Hire
- Location: Kirkland, WA – 100% Onsite.
- Pay Rate: 75/hr. – 98/hr. DOE.
- ITAR obligations are associated with this role, U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, or protected person status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a) (1), (3) is required.
