Position Title: Electrical Test Engineer III - EMC/EMI Testing

Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting direct hire opportunity for a Electrical Test Engineer III with our client in Lynnwood, WA.


Job Description: 
  • In this role, you will join our client's Sensing and Power Systems Test Team and be a high-level Electrical Engineer, responsible for designing and implementing high performance test software for automated testing, and for ensuring high product quality.
  • You will maximize new product development and manufacturing performance through the creation and deployment of test software strategies, tools, and plans. 
  • Collaborate with customers and engineers to establish/clarify test, qualification, verification and validation requirements.
  • Write plans, procedures, requirements and reports in a highly structured environment.
  • Design, develop, analyze, debug, validate, verify and deploy test hardware and software for automated test equipment.
  • Develop/maintain documentation, and configuration control for initial release and updates.
  • Perform detailed calculations to establish test equipment specifications and design margins.
  • Support the estimation of costs and schedules to develop or upgrade test platforms.

Job Qualifications:
  • BA or BS Degree in an engineering discipline. Masters or PhD preferred.
  • Three (3) or more years of Test Engineering work experience.
  • Three (3) or more years of EMC/EMI work experience.
  • Experience in a highly regulated industry such as aerospace or medical electronics highly desired.
  • Development and verification knowledge and experience using computer science principals. 
  • Documentation requirements analysis, requirements development and test procedure development.  
  • Communication Interfaces (e.g. ARINC429, CAN, RS232, I2C )
  • Familiar with planning, executing, and reporting on EMI testing in accordance with MIL-STD-461/462 and RTCA/DO-160 test standards.
  • Familiar with planning, executing, and reporting on electrical power quality testing in accordance with MIL-STD-704 and RTCA/DO-160 test standards.
  • Familiar with planning, executing, and reporting testing in accordance with Boeing D6-16050 and Airbus ABD0100 test standards, preferred, not required.
  • Familiar with the use of EMI receiver systems or spectrum analyzers.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply good interpersonal and communication skills to effectively lead and/or participate in multifunctional teams in a dynamic work environment. 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and flexibility to switch between tasks.
  • Ability to solve problems, organize materials, and keep projects moving in an orderly and structured fashion.
  • Ability to work well with others in the areas of teamwork and communication.

Preferred Qualification:

  • iNARTE, International Association for Radio, Telecommunications and Electromagnetics certifications preferred, not required.
Job Details:
  • Direct hire
  • Salary range: $103,000 to $132,600
  • Eligibility Requirement: This position requires access to controlled data or information and therefore only US persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR's).
