Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting direct hire opportunity for Electrical Controls Engineer with our client located in Portland, OR.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop electrical control panel design, schematics, and 2D layout drawings in AutoCAD Electrical
- Interpret mechanical & hydraulic design drawings for electrical requirements
- Work with outside sales team to develop detailed quotes and proposals on new opportunities.
- Research supplier products for assembly components and manage relationships with vendors
- Develop bill of materials
- Troubleshooting, and field testing
- Creation of submittals, training instructions, and O&M Manuals
- Review of project specifications to assure compliance with customer requirements
- Familiarity with loading PLC programs (i.e., Siemens, Allen Bradley, and or IDEC) and testing basic machine functionality.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of Industrial Controls design
- Extensive knowledge of Industrial Controls
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical.
- Able to program PLCs, HMIs, Controllers, and VFDs
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines
- Understanding of UL508A and NFPA 79
- Excellent documentation, written and oral communication skills
- Able to work independently or in a team environment.
- Problem Solving skills required
- Ability to interface with panel shop technicians and provide shop support as needed.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Project management and coordinate cross-functional projects.
Job Details:
- Job Type: Direct Hire
- Salary Range: $80K-110K
- Location: Portland, OR.
