Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting direct hire Director, Reactor Project Management opportunity.
Job Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to a large team of project managers and other project professionals.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Cultivate a culture of learning and development within the project management team.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive training program for project managers.
- Establish a mentorship program to pair experienced project managers with junior staff, providing guidance and support for their professional growth.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to project managers.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination within the project team and with external stakeholders.
Project Planning and Execution
- Oversee and guide the project management team’s development and implementation of comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and risk management.
- Hold project management team accountable for driving project execution, achieving project deliverables, and staying within budget while still meeting scope and technical performance requirements.
- Work closely with the PMO to establish and maintain effective project controls and reporting systems.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, codes, and standards.
- Effectively communicate project updates and address stakeholder concerns.
Risk Management
- Identify and assess potential project risks.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and report on risk status throughout the project lifecycle.
- Continuous Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and practices.
- Identify and implement best practices in project management methodologies.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in nuclear technology.
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum of 15 years of experience directly related to Project Management or Project Delivery, with demonstrated experience on large projects.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience working with highly multidisciplinary and matrixed teams.
- PMP certificate is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects executed under a high degree of regulatory oversight, and experience building Nuclear Power Plants (Nuclear exp. is required).
- Proficiency in project planning, implementation and delivering results.
- Strong proficiency in project scheduling and budget control, EVMS tools, and project control requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, Visio, and MS Project.
- Experience with Atlassian tools such as Confluence and JIRA.
- Experience with Primavera P6 is a plus.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills required.
- Strong leadership acumen, with the ability to drive accountability across the organization.
- Bias for action; a propensity to drive items to closure without sacrificing quality or timeliness.
- The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly and display respect and a desire to foster teamwork.

- Salary Rate Range:
- Level 13: $194,197 - $279,158
- Level 14: $221,506 - $300,399.
- Location: Bellevue, WA.
- Export control regulations require candidates to be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Legal Permanent Resident, or of a protected person status
