Job Description
Position Title: Design Verification / Validation Engineer
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract Design Verification / Validation Engineer opportunity with our client located in Bellevue, Washington. This is an onsite role.
Job Requirements:
- A validation expert across full platforms
- A senior/director/lead validation/verification engineer, Design Verification Engineer (or Design/Validation Engineer, System Verification/Validation Engineer, Test Engineer)
- 5+ years of test experience
- Electrical Engineer background
- Proven experience as an individual contributor (less interested in managers)
- Must Have broad and heavy hands-on design verification / validation experience with lots of subsystems: including power delivery, power integrity, high-speed serial buses, and low-speed control and communication interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, etc.).
- Low-Level Measurements: Heavy utilization of a wide range of test equipment to perform precise low-level measurements and analysis.
- Some Test Planning experience: Developing test plans for an entire product, ensuring thorough coverage of all relevant aspects.
- Some Automation and Scripting experience: Leverage automation tools and scripting languages to improve efficiency and accuracy in test execution (e.g., Python, Perl).
- System Bringup: (Optional) Collaborate with hardware and software teams to successfully bring up new systems, including low-level OS (EFI shell, RTOS, etc.) and Linux environments.
- Compliance Testing: (Optional bonus) Conduct compliance testing to ensure products meet industry standards and regulations (e.g., EMI, EMC) is a plus.
- Best if they have consumer electronics (vaguely “PC” architecture) experience.
- Better if they’ve worked with overseas contract manufacturers.
- Bonus if they have Mandarin speaking experience.
- Bonus if they’re interested in and/or willing to travel (Taiwan and/or China).
- Bonus if they have high-speed/signal integrity test experience but not required.
