Job Description
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting Remote Direct Hire opportunity.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and provide mentorship to a team of engineers both technically and professionally
- Manage and drive team timelines, project commitments, and roadmap deliverables
- Work closely with users, leadership, and stakeholders to align and coordinate product design, project execution, and operational usage in setting and achieving objectives and key results.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data processing and access with cloud ETL technology.
- Implement interfaces to enable self service data pipelines
- Write high quality, maintainable code to process terabytes of data
- Lead and champion high-level system design and quality code reviews/technical contributions.
- Ability to take a strong sense of ownership and responsibility for mentoring engineers
Job Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional experience as a data engineer or data pipeline engineer
- BS or MS in Computer Science or related field
- Expertise with Python programming
- Expertise with AWS services and solutions (EKS, Lambda, ETL)
- Experience with distributed system design and development
- Experience leading projects from end to end, designing and delivering and production stages
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, continuous delivery environment
Preferred Job Qualifications:
- Experience with Infrastructure Monitoring
- Experience working in cross-functional development teams
- Experience working with microservices
- Experience with people management

I joined Protingent in the Spring of 2021 as a sales intern, transitioning to a full-time Technical Recruiter after graduating from the University of Washington in June 2021. Initially, I focused on supporting our spaceflight clients, later expanding to industries such as sustainable energy and nuclear power. While I’ve broadened my recruiting scope, I’m still partial to aerospace engineering, especially anything related to propulsion technology.
My recruiting style focuses on individual candidate needs and relationship building. My philosophy is to lead with empathy and integrity. My favorite thing about recruiting is the opportunity to learn something new every day by talking to the most intelligent people/engineers, as well as the potential to impact critical industries at the staffing level.
When I’m not recruiting, I love spending time outdoors – hiking, camping, roller skating, reading in parks, and swimming in Lake Union (when the Seattle weather permits). I also enjoy thrift shops, sewing/up-cycling clothes, and shooting 35mm film.
