Job Description
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting FTE Accounts Payable Manager opportunity.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end AP process, including:
- Ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing, with the requirement to process invoices as needed
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of AP specialists
- Manage cross-functional collaboration relating to Accounts Payable. Resolve issues that affect multiple departments
- Identify and document root causes of payment delays & payment errors, implement corrective actions, monitor, and report results
- Maintain positive relationships with vendors
- Develop and maintain KPIs and dashboards to efficiently monitor the AP process & provide AP reports to department & project leaders as needed
- Assists with internal & external audits as the primary AP point of contact and ensures compliance with SOX and other internal controls
- Driving system enhancements and implementation of technology tools, including but not limited to the Oracle ERP system and AP automation tools
- General ledger accounting tasks, including but not limited to:
- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
- Review of balance sheet results during the month-end close. Determining & proposing any needed adjustments in accordance with GAAP.
- Able to identify unallowable costs according to government rules and/or contractual terms
- Ability to implement policies and procedures to help improve efficiencies
- Complies with internal control procedures on a day-to-day basis.
- Ability to perform moderately complex accounting tasks/analysis, categorize data for reporting and audit purposes
- Applies general knowledge of accounting policies and procedures when responding to written and verbal inquiries from stakeholders.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 8 years work experience in accounts payable or general accounting, plus 3+ years as an AP Manager with direct reports in a high volume (1000+ invoices/month) environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience with Oracle Cloud or another Tier 1 ERP system (MS Dynamics 365, SAP) is required
- Must be proactive about identifying process inefficiencies & proposing workflow improvements
- Highly organized and detail-oriented; high degree of accuracy
- Strong leadership, team management, and team building skills
- Capable of quickly comprehending new information and technologies
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills; must be able to document and explain process change, system controls, or compliance requirements concisely
- Analytical/problem-solving – ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems in a timely manner
- Ability to prioritize and plan work activities
- Must be team-oriented, willing to operate within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment
- The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly, and display respect and a desire to foster teamwork
- Travel Required: 0-5%.

- Salary Range Level 10: $113,605 - $170,408
- Location: Bellevue, WA (Onsite)
