Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract SolidWorks PDM Administrator opportunity.
Job Responsibilities:
- Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot the SolidWorks PDM system across a 200+ user base, covering Structural, Neutronics, Thermal-Hydraulic, Radiological, Safety, etc. disciplines.
- Manage user accounts, workflows, vaults, and permissions within SolidWorks PDM.
- Manage license compliance, provide guidance on annual renewals and expansion of licensing as needed.
- Provide hands-on support for SolidWorks CAD users in a regulated, NQA-1 compliant environment.
- Create and deliver technical training and develop clear, comprehensive system documentation. Communicate changes in documentation, standards or software upgrades to staff.
- Oversee the onboarding and offboarding process for PDM and CAD users, ensuring compliance with internal processes and procedures.
- Resolve support tickets in a timely manner or escalate complex issues to application custodians or IT engineering team when necessary.
- Validate documents are filed and stored to company standards and procedures.
- Collaborate with SolidWorks designers, Quality Assurance, and IT teams to ensure data integrity and traceability.
- Collaborate with Records Management and Document Control to streamline PDM/PLM interface
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities to improve CAD & PDM processes and systems to maximize productivity of CAD functions.
- Manage software upgrades, including planning, communication, testing, and implementation.
- Support auxiliary CAD tools, with an emphasis on AutoDesk products as needed.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Structural Engineering, Architecture or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience administering SolidWorks PDM in a production or enterprise setting, including building and maintenance of workflows.
- Strong background supporting SolidWorks CAD users, particularly in an engineering or technical organization.
- CAD proficiency is preferred, SolidWorks specifically. CAD experience in nuclear design including complex mechanical / electro-mechanical assemblies/ machines/ structures/ systems a plus. Experience in the creation, manipulation, iteration, and optimization of mechanical designs with complex interactions / constraints accepted.
- Experience with Solidworks customization (templates, tools, add-in features)
- Solidworks API experience highly preferred
- Working knowledge of NQA-1 quality standards and their application to configuration and document control.
- Experience managing and optimizing engineering data workflows, version control, and access policies.
- Demonstrated ability to develop user training materials and system documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience supporting AutoDesk software (AutoCAD, Inventor, Vault) is a significant plus.
- Experience in CAD hosting infrastructure and support or engagement with IT systems engineering.
- Organized and detail oriented, with excellent writing and communication skills.
- Creative thinker with strong analytical/problem solving skills and ability to work multiple tasks concurrently with minimum direction to solve challenging problems.
- Strong communication skills desired.
- The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trustworthiness and integrity, communicate openly and display respect and a desire to foster teamwork.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
- SolidWorks PDM Professional or Standard
- Windows Server 2019 and 2022, SQL Server 2019 and 2022, Active Directory, VCenter/VMWare
- AutoDesk Vault, AutoCAD, SmartPlant or Inventor
- Support desk ticketing systems (Jira, ServiceNow)
- Scripting/automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Ansible) a plus

- Pay Rate: $63-90/hr.
