EHS Coordinator
Job Description
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract EHS Coordinator opportunity.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and facilitate JHA sessions to identify and analyze potential hazards associated with specific job tasks.
- Lead and facilitate FMEA sessions to analyze potential equipment failure modes and their effects on products or processes.
- Develop and implement hazard control measures based on the hierarchy of controls (elimination, substitution, engineering controls, administrative controls, and PPE).
- Ensure that JHAs and FMEAs are properly documented, reviewed, and updated as needed.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide training and mentorship to employees on risk management techniques, JHA, and FMEA methodologies.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions.
- Required skills and qualifications
- Ensure site-specific EHS programs, policies, and procedures are aligned with Risk Documents.
- Serve as the primary contact for implementing JHA/FMEAs
- Support the training of employees on JHA/FMEAs expectations
Job Qualifications:
- Background in EHS, engineering, or quality assurance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- 4-5 years’ experience developing JHA/FMEAs
- Experience with process improvement methods such as Six Sigma
- Certifications in quality management, such as LEAN or Six Sigma
- Effective communication and attention to detail
- 5-10 years of experience in occupational safety or environmental science
- Experience in a Lab, manufacturing, or industrial environment
- Several years of experience in EHS or environmental programs, often in manufacturing, production, or service operations settings. Experience in a large, complex environment may be desired.
Job Details:
- Job Type: Contract
- Pay Rate Range: $48-$63/hr (Pay rates are approved based on candidate location, education, and experience.)
- Location: Everett, WA.
- Export control regulations require candidates to be a U.S. Citizen, a U.S. Legal Permanent Resident, or a protected person status
